Robert Alexander runs a physiotherapy practice in Broxbourne, but spends a period of time each week in Holt.
Robert took his first degree in Sports Science at Arizona State University and worked with Dan Landers, editor of The American Journal of Sports Psychology, and Christine Wells, who has done considerable research with women in sport. After spending six years in Arizona, Robert returned to the UK and completed a physiotherapy degree at Salford University before working at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Welwyn Garden City, the Rivers private hospital in Sawbridgeworth and Harlow’s Princess Alexandra hospital in Essex. Before setting up the practice in Broxbourne, he spent the final four years in the NHS as an “Extended scope practitioner”, working closely with the spinal surgeon.
Robert has a keen interest in sport, specifically swimming and rowing. He is an active member of Broxbourne rowing club, having success at Henley Royal regatta, Henley Masters regatta, National Masters, European and World Masters competitions. In recent years, he has enjoyed the challenges of numerous open water swimming competitions and sprint triathlons.
