DR HANNE MARGARETA HOMER

Hanne has over 20 years experience as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. Hanne is registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).She is also a member of the BPS Special Group for Independent Practitioners, who promotes best practice and supports professional development and engages in regular continued professional development (CPD) to deliver the best evidence-based treatments. 

Hanne also trained and practised as a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Researcher whilst working in the NHS, specialising in neuro-rehabilitation for Traumatic, Acquired and Progressive Brain Injury. She specialises in Adult Mental Health. She also has a special interest in the embodied effects of developmental/complex trauma, working with close interactional links between the mind and the body. She is also interested in the role of biochemical factors in mental health, including nutrients and physical exercise.

Hanne uses an integral eclectic psychological approach drawing on a number of mainstream recognised theoretical therapeutic frameworks, including Trauma Psychotherapy, Embodied Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic Therapy; Spiritual Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, a.o.

 Her approach aims to develop and increase insight and knowledge for each individual regarding their symptoms and origins in order to promote the protection that self-

efficacy and self-esteem can provide. 

Hanne offers psychological assessments and treatments for a range of psychological difficulties including Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-Esteem,Mood swings, Obsessional Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Stress, Trauma (developmental/complex/
